A Christmas fair will be held at Millbridge Junior, Infant and Nursery School on Thursday (December 3) to raise funds for new books, school discos and trips out.
The annual event will involve a Christmas raffle boasting a host of gifts and vouchers donated by local businesses in Heckmondwike and Liversedge.
Organised by parents and grandparents on the Parent Panel, the fair will take place in the school hall between 3.30pm and 5pm.
One of the event organisers, Marie March, said: “The response we have had from local businesses has been amazing, we are blown away. And the true spirit of giving at Christmas time and community links are clear to see.
“We still have daily donations coming in - we are over the moon with the response and we will be sending out thank you letters to all businesses at a later date.
“So from the Parent Panel and everyone at Millbridge J I & N School, we’d like to say a big thank you to all the local businesses who have kindly donated gifts and vouchers towards our Christmas fair raffle.”
