Cash to boost our creativity

Projects promoting arts and culture in our communities could win cash to support their work.

Grants of up to £2,000 will be up for grabs through three funding rounds in 2013/14.

But groups must register their interest now if they are to be in with a chance.

Kirklees Council is encouraging groups who would like to run community arts and culture-based projects in the area to register for its Arts in the Neighbourhood scheme by Friday April 12.

The scheme, run by the Creative Economy, aims to help community and voluntary groups set up arts and cultural projects or events by contributing between £150 and £2,000 towards the costs.

Projects must be wholly or mainly for the benefit of Kirklees residents and involve Kirklees residents.

Groups can find out more about registering by emailing Kirklees Funding Team at [email protected] or calling 01484 414824.
