Travel authority Metro is cutting some bus services because not enoughpeople were using them.
Metro was subsidising services on the 255 Halifax to Leeds service, which passes through Wyke, Cleckheaton, Gomersal and Birkenshaw.
Operator Arriva did not find the service profitable and after public consultation Metro agreed to subsidise it – but journey numbers were too low.
From January 24, the 7.03pm service from Wainman Street in Wyke to Halifax bus station will no longer run.
Other services are unaffected.
Metro chairman Coun James Lewis said: “This government has reduced the funding received by West Yorkshire’s councils by hundreds of millions of pounds, which in turn means Metro has less to spend on bus services.”
