TWO generations of a Cleckheaton family took part in a world record attempt in Manchester.
The event, which was put on by the Multiple Sclerosis Society, was called Stick it to MS, and featured more than 800 drummers performing a synchronised piece for five minutes.
The challenge, which took place in the Manchester Event Centre, will now be featured in the Guinness Book of Records.
Steve Hutton, who is the junior treasurer of Cleckheaton Rugby Club, took part in the event with his son, Danny, and the pair raised more than £400 between them.
Steve said: “The atmosphere at the event was amazing – it just goes to show how good the drumming fraternity is at supporting events like this. A big thank you to the people who sponsored us.”
