AN elderly and disabled club has celebrated its 15 years of keeping its founding member’s memory alive.
The club, which meets every Thursday at Cleckheaton Methodist Church from 1pm-3.45pm, was established by Harry Brown, who sadly died just eight weeks later.
His widow Rachel said she was proud that the club he cherished continued to go from strength to strength.
“It is an excellent club with a committee that has done an absolutely excellent job of keeping it going for Harry,” she said.
“It’s somewhere to go where you can meet lots of nice people and have a lovely time.
“I want to thank all the members and the committee because without them there wouldn’t be a club.”
