Members of Gomersal Cricket Club will walk from the Yorkshire Cricket Club in Headingley and back to Gomersal to raise money for the junior section practise nets.

Former Heckmondwike Grammar School pupil and Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale will be at the start line of the 12-mile walk on Saturday March 6, which includes stops at 12 local watering holes.

The team hopes to raise 2,056 to be able to buy two nets.

There will also be a karaoke night at the club in the evening, with a raffle.

Anyone wishing to take part or sponsor the walkers can contact Darryl Senior at [email protected]

Adults only walk, 10.30am start.
