Man threatened pair with a baseball bat in East Bierley home

A masked man threatened two people with a baseball bat in their home.

The 45-year-old woman and 73-year-old man were in the house in Ladyroyd Drive, East Bierley, when the man walked in through the front door.

He threatened them and demanded to know where the safe was, but left without taking anything after being told there was no safe.

Nobody was injured during the attempted robbery at 10.45pm on Thursday April 4.

Today (Monday) police issued an appeal for witnesses.

The suspect was around 6ft 2in tall, slim. He wore dark clothing and a Balaclava.
