Police team hail success of operation tackling dangerous and irresponsible driver in Batley

Operation Tireminster is tackling motor vehicle crime in the Batley and Spen area.

A spokesperson for the neighbourhood policing team said: “In the few months Batley and Spen NPT have spearheaded operation treminster we have seen a substantial amount of dangerous, drunk and unfit drivers sent to court, tickets issued for speeding, numerous cars and bikes seized for Anti Social driving and various document offences.

“As well as a large amount of stolen vehicles reunited with their owners.

“The work has resulted in a substantial drop in calls to service with regards to these issues and has undoubtedly made the roads safer for our communities.
