A taxi driver had his mobile phone stolen in an unprovoked attack in Cleckheaton.
Police have issued a witness appeal following the assault, in which the victim suffered facial injuries, near to the Chain Bar Roundabout.
The attack took place around 6.45pm on Tuesday, June 23, near to the Chain Bar Roundabout.
The 32-year-old male victim was sat in his vehicle on Bradford Road, when an unknown man opened the driver’s door and assaulted him before making off with his mobile phone.
The suspect is described as white, approximately 35-years-old, of broad build, with light brown balding hair.
Police Constable Michelle Dhurmea of Kirklees CID said: “This was an unprovoked attack, that took place during the early part of the evening and I am certain someone will have seen something.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information about the incident to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing.”
