Mr Hutton, 48, said: “People suggested the idea of a firewalk and all the staff and locals have really got behind it.

“I’m not really thinking about when I have to do it, I’m planning to just go for it otherwise I probably wouldn’t sleep the night before.

“It’s all about raising money for the kids at the end of the day.”

The Bennett Lane pub, which is owned by Titan Pub Solutions, has raised £1,500 so far through sponsorship and Mr Hutton said he hopes to raise £2,000.

The walk will start at 7pm at the pub.
