David Brown scraps Mirfield 25 plan
Engineering firm David Brown has today announced it will no longer be opening a new site at Mirfield 25.
This morning, a spokesman for the engineering parts manufacturer said the firm had decided to invest in its Park Works site in Huddersfield instead.
The company first announced plans to move 270 of its 450 employees to Mirfield in August 2011.
It had intended to build a ‘centre of excellence’ for gear manufacture, and a ‘wind innovation centre’ on the site .
