Delivery driver injured in attempted robbery

A delivery driver was injured after two men demanded his van keys in Dewsbury.

The incident happened on Hollins Avenue, Dewsbury, at 12.40pm on Tuesday September 16.

The delivery driver was walking back to his van when he was approached by two Asian men who pushed him into a door panel causing minor injuries. He then fell to the floor with the first suspect who demanded his vehicle keys. Following a short altercation, the suspects ran away towards some nearby playing fields and the victim was able to escape in his van and contact the police.

The first suspect is described as an Asian male in his mid-20s, of slim build and around 5ft 11ins tall. He had black hair, shaved at the sides and short on top and was clean shaven. He was wearing a grey Hollins hooded top and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three stipes on the side from the knee downwards.

The second suspect was an Asian male in his mid-20s, of slim build and around 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a black hooded top and had a diamond stud in one ear.
