The men then drove off in a silver Audi which had been parked on the road blocking traffic.

A 27-year-old from Dewsbury and a 28-year-old from Milnsbridge have since been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and a public order offence.

PC Bronwyn Carter, of Kirklees Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The investigation is being progressed without the support of the victim therefore we need anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward. The threats are reported to have been made outside a café which had a number of customers inside and we are keen to speak to any of these people. We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw two men parking up or driving away in a silver Audi.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Kirklees Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
