Dewsbury Moor Crematorium has now re-opened after it closed for refurbishment.
A new central heating system has been installed and other maintenance work carried out at the same time to limit disruption in future.
And funeral services will be able broadcast over the internet after a new media system was installed.
Coun Cathy Scott, joint cabinet member for place, said: “The work is now complete and visitors to the crematorium will be able to see real benefits.
“The shutdown period to install a new boiler also saw vital maintenance to flat roofs and new internal electrical work.
“A new music and media system has been installed which is web-based and will allow funerals to be broadcast to those who cannot attend, and will also allow media presentations on a new screen in the chapel.”
