Dewsbury shop robbed at knifepoint

The man entered Adams Convenience Store in Moor Lane, Dewsbury, and demanded money from the shopkeeper after approaching him with a knife at 11.20am yesterday (Tuesday).

He left calmly after taking £200 in cash and headed towards Heckmondwike Road.

He was described as white, aged about 40, 5ft 3in to 5ft 5in tall and of medium to stocky build.

He wore a light blue hooded top, with the hood up, and had a stubbly beard.

Det Con Andy Clayton, of Huddersfield CID, said: “This man threatened and intimidated the victim of this robbery and we are keen to trace his whereabouts as soon as possible.
