Dive into unique world of miniature people

Robotic cameras, strummed guitars and miniature people will be part of a new animation film on show this month.

Fulcrum – created and programmed by arts firm IOU and Creative Scene – will follow a woman’s train journey through northern moors and towns as the world around her transforms.

The film uses robotics cameras and new technology to capture the world of miniature carvings created by artist Richard Wincer.

IOU Artistic director David Wheeler said: “Audiences can explore a series of beautiful miniature dioramas, hand-carved by an artist and watch the robotic cameras and automated computer technology which produces the resulting short movie.”

The free short film will be shown at the New Picture House in Dewsbury on Friday, March 27, 7pm-9pm, and Saturday March 28, 9am-5pm.
