Littletown School’s year one dancers were rewarded with trophies and certificates for their hard work and good behaviour at the after-school dance club.
The children joined the club while still in the reception class and enjoyed it so much it was decided to continue the dancing into their new class.
Nursery nurse Andrea Lister said: “We have all enjoyed performing our dances for parents in two short shows where we danced to Steps and Michael Jackson.
“The club evolved from our daily ‘wake up, shake up’ sessions, where the children in early years dance to hits by Black Lace, to prepare them for their work.
“We have all had lots of fun and the children are sad it has finished, but we hope to start a new club in the spring for the present reception class.”
Mrs Lister and fellow nursery nurse Suzanne Johnson who run the club, along with the help of their daughters, Emily and Lily, said they had loved every minute of the club and enjoyed watching the children grow and develop in confidence and ability.
