Fire at recycling plant in Liversedge
Fire crews were tackling a blaze at a recycling plant in Liversedge last night.
Three fire engines were called to the plant on Union Road after plastic caught fire in the yard at around 10.40pm.
At 11.30pm a West Yorkshire Fire Service spokeswoman said: “We are currently in attendance at a fire in the open involving plastics at Cyrstal Works, on Union Road, Liversedge.”
A hose reel and three large jets were being used by firefighters called to the incident from Dewsbury and Cleckheaton.
