Five further people charged after fatal quad bike crash

Four men and a woman have been charged following a quad bike crash which claimed the lives of four people in September last year.

Ryan Beal, 20, Brandon Brown, 20, Alexandra Binns, 18, and Terrie Louise Kirby, 16, died following the accident on September 27 on the A6201 between Upton and Hemsworth.

Jason Ogilvie, 26, of Wakefield, Jacob Ward, 22, of Barnsley, Andrew Kirkwood, 32, of Dewsbury, George Tomlinson, 24, of Wakefield, and Gemma Layton, 26, of Leeds will appear at Wakefield Magistrates Court on Wednesday May 4 charged with encouraging and assisting in the commission of a dangerous driving offence.

Ten people have already been charged in relation to the incident.

They are Daniel Raynor, 23, from Barnsley, has been charged with four counts of death by dangerous driving and two counts of dangerous driving. Matthew Todd, 21, from Barnsley, has been charged with four counts of aiding and abetting death by dangerous driving, Clark Henfrey, 19, from Barnsley, has been charged with dangerous driving and with encouraging and assisting in the commission of a dangerous driving offence. Stephen Hebden, 22, Lee Fisher, 28, from Barnsley, Sam Rowley, 19, from Sheffield, Mark Mason, 23, from Barnsley, Jack Dickinson-Ellis, 19, from Barnsley, Jake Hackleton, 20, from Barnsley and Nathan Jackson, 20, from Barnsley have all been charged with encouraging and assisting in the commission of a dangerous driving offence.

They will appear at Wakefield Magistrates Court on the same day.
