Spurs look to have yet another Gareth Bale-flavoured transfer saga, as the club has ordered the Welshman back into training, despite Real Madrid already selling shirts with his name on the back, erecting a stage to on which to unveil him and, presumably, saving some dinner in a tupperware box for him to microwave when he gets in. According to PA Sport, Bale’s quite narked off about the whole situation, and has not reported for training this morning after having the weekend off.

BRIAN MCDERMOTT admits he is no closer to landing a winger ahead of Monday’s transfer window deadline – although he is not ruling out that situation changing over the coming days.

A wide-sided player remains very much the transfer priority for McDermott, whose Leeds side will be attempting to extend their unbeaten run at the start of the season to six games at the Keepmoat Stadium this evening.
