Everything was rosy in the garden when Cleckheaton Rotary and Inner Wheel clubs came together for a charity event.
Despite early rain, the sun came out for the garden party at the Gildersome home of Rotarian Michael Brooke and his wife Joan.
The event was to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the chosen charity of Inner Wheel president Elaine Shires, and the Stroke Association, the charity chosen by her husband Michael, who is the Rotary president.
Rotary press officer David Sugden said: “It was very well supported, including several family groups with children. There was also a group of visitors from Sweden for whom a garden party was a new experience!
“They were all entertained by the Palm Court Dance Orchestra, and music and singing from Lynne and there was a bouncy castle and trampoline for the children.”
The clubs thanked the garden party’s sponsors as well as those who supported and attended the event which raised £3,100 for the two charities.
