Girl indecently touched at Batley rail station

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was indecently touched as she waited to get off a train at Batley rail station.

The teenager, from Dewsbury, was queueing to leave the delayed 1.31pm Huddersfield to Leeds service as it arrived into the station when she felt a man inappropriately touch her.

British Transport Police, who have just released details of the incident at around 3.55pm on Monday November 19, said the girl was extremely distressed and raised the alarm after she left the train.

The man has been described as white, aged in his 60s, with white, receding hair, a bald head and a beer belly. He was wearing a blue shirt.

Det Con Gary Heseltine said: “The incident has understandably left the victim feeling shocked and shaken, and I would encourage anyone with any information to get in touch.”
