Hotel guests take erotic novels to bed!

Well, there is a good chance they tuck themselves under the sheets for a racy read - and leave the book behind.

Staff in Yorkshire have reported erotic books are the most popular novels recovered from bedrooms.

The Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, The Marriage Bargain Trilogy and the Crossfire Triology top the 2013 Travelodge books left behind index across the hotel chain.

Just three biographies made this year’s top 20 listing with the most popular being “My Time” covering the Sir Bradley Wiggins story.

Travelodge spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: “Our 2013 index has certainly revealed the Fifty Shades phenomenon has created an appetite for Britons wanting to read more erotic romantic literature.

“A good book offers the ultimate escape which is a great companion while travelling.”

The left behind books are forwarded onto charity shops.
