Jewellery retrieved from series of robberies in Dewsbury and Batley

Following an appeal from detectives in Kirklees over a series of robberies in the Dewsbury and Batley areas, some jewellery has been retrieved.

Last week, four men were arrested in connection with the offences where victims were approached by the suspects asking for change for a £2 coin. All have now been released on bail.

Detective Constable Victoria Catania, of Kirklees CID, said: “Following our ongoing investigation into a series of robberies in the Kirklees district, we have now obtained some rings which we believe are stolen.

“If anyone recognises these rings or has any information about their owners, please could you contact me via 101 as we are keen to reunite this jewellery with their rightful owners.”
