THE story of a little boy who made a miraculous recovery after being knocked down outside his school is to be on television.
Eight-year-old Joshua Butler, pictured, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary after being knocked down outside Norristhorpe School last September.
There, he underwent a life-saving brain operation fraught with risks.
His family was told to prepare for the worst – but brave Joshua kept fighting, and four days after his operation he opened his eyes and immediately asked for his mum.
Joshua, who won a Reporter Series Champion Children award earlier this year, has made an incredible recovery and has no lasting effects from the accident.
His story will be told on BBC1’s Helicopter Heroes on Tuesday at 9.15am.
