Jury returns verdict in Brocklesby murder trial

A MAN has been found guilty of murdering Peter Brocklesby.

Richard Oldroyd, 20, was unanimously found guilty of murder following a two week trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Oldroyd, of Great Pond Street, Ravensthorpe, stabbed Mr Brocklesby twice in the back during a street brawl in Cleckheaton on May 7 this year.

Oldroyd will be sentenced at noon today (Thursday).
