A spokeswoman for KPMG said on Wednesday: “I can confirm that the administrators have had interest in the business and assets of Kozee Sleep.

“They are in the process of considering final offers. We won’t be going in to any detail about these at this stage.”

Kozee Sleep and its subsidiaries, Restus Beds Limited and Hick Lane Bedding Limited, in addition to a property investment company within the group, Hick Lane Properties Limited, ceased trading shortly after the appointment of Jonny Marston and Howard Smith of KPMG’s Restructuring practice on May 19.

KPMG announced the job losses on May 29, after staff had held a sit-in over unpaid wages in the company’s Ravensthorpe headquarters.

One of those who had been expected to be in the frame to buy Kozee Sleep is developer Kevin Lindley.

Mr Lindley last week told the Reporter Series about his own plans to purchase what remains of the company.

The businessman claimed he would put in an offer within “days”.

However, he was unavailable for comment when we triedto contact him this week.
