Light fantastic for Batley switch-on
Batley’s Christmas lights switch-on looks set to be its best celebration yet, and you have a chance to be part of the celebrations.
Auditions will be held at the Irish Democratic League club next month for performers to appear onstage alongside headline act, local singer/songwriter Jade Helliwell.
One of the organisers of the event, Richard Martin, said: “As the event will be on a Saturday this year rather than a Thursday as in previous years, we are hoping that more people will come.

The switch-on event starts at 11am on Saturday November 22, with Pulse Radio presenting the show from 4.30pm-6pm.
