Michelle’s helping hand for movers
Couple that with being elderly, and the job requires a helping hand.
That’s why Michelle Park decided to train as a senior move manager and set up her own business, and she has just become the UK’s first member of the America-based National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM).

She said: “I have always worked in housing and really enjoy helping older people and being there to support them.
“When I realised that I could do both by helping them move house, I trained to become a senior move manager. I think it’s important that people dealing with older adults are fully trained and part of a professional body.”
Michelle, who’s firm is based at her Cleckheaton home, said she realised a growing gap in the move management market as more and more adults lead busier lives, often moving away from their parents.

She wanted to align her company with a traders’ organisation and, with no such thing in the UK, she joined the NASMM.
