Mirfield pupils look bonny in their bonnets
Pupils at Battyeford Primary School took part in an Easter bonnet parade.
The tradition derived from a custom of wearing new clothes at Easter, in keeping with the religious significance of the time of year, and the promise of spiritual renewal and redemption.
