Model Hanna now a TV star

A 12 year-old girl has become a TV star after appearing in an advert.

Hanna Hudson, from Cleckheaton, has hit the small screen after becoming a model for girls’ brand Claireabella.

Hanna, who attends Whitcliffe Mount School in the town, is signed up as an ambassador for the clothing and bag label for a whole year and has already learnt several new dance moves as part of a publicity drive. She managed to fight off competition from around 70 other girls from across the UK to be one of just three successful entrants.

As part of her contract, Hanna also does regular photo shoots and writes a monthly blog about her experiences.

Hanna’s mum Sarah said: “Hanna’s loving it. The audition was on her birthday back in January and then we got the call while were still down in London to say that she’d been chosen. It’s such a great opportunity for her.”

The new Claireabella advert has featured on kids TV channels, including Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel but Hanna’s family enjoy watching her back on the telly more than she does.

Sarah added: “She cringes when she sees it back. But we’re really proud. You don’t realise how Yorkshire you sound until you see yourselves back I think.”

And Hanna is no stranger to publicity, having featured in the Reporter Series when she finished in third place in the Mini Upcoming Girl Model UK contest back in 2013 when she was just 10.
