Murdered Mirfield woman found covered by sheets
Opening the inquest into Nadija Ondzule’s death, coroner’s officer Alan Amos said at first, police could not find the body when they arrived at 40A Oddfellows Street on the night of February 1.
A post-mortem examination determined the cause of death as pressure on the neck and strangulation, Bradford Coroner’s Court heard.

Hide AdMs Ondzule’s body was identified by a friend who had raised the alarm.
Coroner Roger Whittaker released the body so a funeral could be held in Latvia, Ms Ondzule’s home country.
Det Supt Sukhbir Singh said that police in Estonia had detained a suspect and ‘secured a substantial amount of evidence’.
Officers are now seeking an extradition under a European arrest warrant.
