PC Alexis Stansfield of Dewsbury Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The curtain sides of the vehicle were cut open and the neon signs inside were removed.

“These were large items and it will have taken some time to transfer them from the lorry.

“It is also likely that they were transported away in a vehicle from the scene. I would therefore ask that anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in this area to come forward immediately.

“Likewise, I would ask that if anyone is approached by anyone attempting to sell the stolen goods to get in touch.

“You can call on the non emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.”
