New roles for sales duo

It’s all change in the local healthcare industry as both Ferno and Shackletons make new appointments.

Cleckheaton-based Ferno, which produces medical equipment for the emergency services and funeral sectors, has announced Luigi Vernazza as its new commercial director.

Mr Vernazza boasts more than 15 years experience in medical device sales and has worked with companies including Guidant UK Ltd, Siemens Medical Solutions and Merit Medical Ltd.

He began his career as a medical practitioner, working as a radiologist before moving into sales.

Ferno managing director Jon Ellis said he would be taking a hands-on role, determining and implementing strategy and working with the commercial team.

He said: “Luigi joins Ferno during an exciting period in its development as we continue to introduce a wide range of patient transport innovations and continue to grow our market share in the UK.”

Ferno exports to more than 156 countries worldwide.

Meanwhile, healthcare furniture manufacturer Shackletons has added project manager Adam Critchley to its customer service department.

The former IT systems manager will be responsible for running customer contracts at the Dewsbury-based firm, ensuring delivery and installation expectations are met.

He said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Shackletons and look forward to working on fresh challenges within this rapidly expanding company.”

National sales manager Jason Bloom said: “Meeting the expectations of our customer requirements is paramount. We’re looking forward to working with Adam to further our service excellence and first class customer experience.”
