A jet engine, park benches, naked men lighting fires and music from Wakefield Cathedral will form part of a new exhibition at The Hepworth Wakefield’s new contemporary art space.
The Calder, a former 19th century textiles mill, will open to the public with a special launch party on Thursday, at 7pm. Visitors will be able to have a preview at the inaugural exhibition by Roger Hiorns, called Untitled. His artwork will then be on display until November 3.
See next week’s Express for more about Roger Hiorns’ work and what it will bring to the city.
