Letter: Batley Frontier event was a fantastic success

Could you please thank all the people of both Batley and Birstall for their amazing turnout on Sunday at the Frontier Club for the Pride of Place event. The place was packed out, not a space in the car park remained!

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers, the Vintage Car people, the brilliant Natasha Harper and the rest of the entertainers, the local groups that displayed, the two nominated charities and to all the staff at the Frontier and Zucchini’s for making it such a brilliant day.

There was an awful lot of effort by a small team behind the scenes that helped to create this day, the aim of the whole film was to discover whether local people still had ‘pride of place’ in the area and all I can say is judging by the sheer numbers that attended, the answer is an overwhelming YES!

Hopefully, this is just the beginning in showing what can be done if everyone remains positive, we hope to repeat the event again in the very near future…

Here are a few few photos from the day, it was absolutely superb!
