NHS service second to none

The NHS system is normally criticised but on this occasion the system second to none.

Last Thursday I rang Mirfield Health Centre at 8.45am and was booked into see Dr Robinson at 10.50am. While in the surgery she booked me into Ward 15 at Dewsbury and District Hospital, immediately, and I was given a general anaesthetic by 4.45pm for the removal of abscess on right buttock, all on the same day.

And now daily dressings by district nurses.

How’s that for service under the NHS? Thanks to all concerned!
