And if he does, he now has a framed copy of his score sheet, signed poster and photograph to remind him.

Andrew, who lives in Spen, has compiled back-to-back hundreds before, but has not scored a century in a difficult couple of years.

He said the circumstances behind his recent 103 runs against title rivals Middlesex at Lord’s made this particular success even sweeter, and he rated his ton higher than his 272 in the last game against Nottinghamshire at Scarborough.

He said: “Graeme Swann has said before, that it’s like being a kid at Christmas when you play at Lord’s, and that’s exactly what it’s like for us.

“I guess for Middlesex it’s tricky because everyone raises their game at Lord’s.”

He wanted the proud moment framed as a reminder, and asked The Harrison Lord Studio and Gallery in Brighouse to help out.

Gallery owner and keen cricket fan Steven Lord said “I’m a really big fan of the game so when Andrew Gale brought his score sheet and photo in along with the signed poster I was really honoured he chose us to frame it for him.

“It was great to be able to hand over the finished piece.”
