Police called after cyclist spotted on M62
SURPRISED motorists were forced to call police last night after a cyclist was seen riding along the busy M62
Police traffic patrols were despatched to the scene but the cyclist had already managed to get off the motorway, without injury, at the Junction 25 westbound interchange at Clifton, Brighouse.
Drivers also faced hold-ups on the motorway’s eastbound carriageway late yesterday, after an accident involving a lorry and a car.
The vehicles blocked the nearside lane approaching the slip road at Junction 26 at Chain Bar but no-one was hurt.
Traffic queues built up for several miles before the vehicles were removed.
