A quantity of cigarettes, alcohol and money was stolen from the premises.

Det Con Cath Lowdon, of Dewsbury CID, said the investigation is ongoing and police are currently appealing for anyone who saw the incident.

She said: “I would urge anyone who was in the area and noticed any suspicious behaviour to make contact.

“Given the quantity of items stolen it is possible that a vehicle was used by those responsible.

“So anyone who might have seen items being loaded in to a vehicle or a vehicle driving off at speed are urged to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Dewsbury CID on the non-emergency 101 number or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
