Pupils’ textile exhibition

An exhibition about textiles is currently running at Dewsbury Town Hall.

Art and Design in Textiles has been put on by pupils at St John Fisher Catholic High School.

The event has been supported by Dewsbury Town Team. John Dennehy, from the town team, said: “The free exhibition is on a topic close to the heart of Dewsbury. Innovation and design in textiles is part of the town’s heritage, and this exhibition will show that ideas and skills still thrive here in the younger generation.”

The exhibition is on the ground floor gallery of the town hall until Saturday November 22, during the normal opening hours. A continuously running video also shows how the pieces of work have developed.

The work by pupils has been produced under Jill Riordan from St John Fisher.
