A RECYCLING company has been given permission to double the size of its business.
Sunersol Limited, which sorts, stores and transfers waste electrical goods, applied to Kirklees Council to expand its site in Flush Mills, Westgate, Heckmondwike.
Currently it brings in 75,000 tonnes of electrical appliances which are either repaired and resold, or dismantled for parts to be recycled or scrapped.
The company can now expand the business to bring in another 75,000 tonnes of goods a year.
One letter of objection was received by Kirklees Council, which said the plans would increase the number of vehicles going to the site and driving around it, which could be dangerous for employees.
But after speaking to the applicant the objector withdrew their letter.
Members of the Heavy Woollen planning sub committee gave conditional full approval.
