Red house roadshow

VISITORS to Red House Museum can travel the world, without ever leaving Gomersal, during a Big Summer Roadshow,

Activities include making paper nesting dolls from Russia; Eiffel Towers madefrom card and cellophane; North American wool and bead ‘Dreamcatchers’ and paper Kakariki birds from New Zealand.

There are two activity sessions on Thursday August 2 from 11am-1pm then 2pm-4pm. The event is in the barn and admission is £1 for children aged five-16.

Normal admission charges apply to Red House itself of £2.50 adults; £1 child and £6 for a family.

Annual tickets with unlimited admission to Red House and Oakwell Hall are £6 adults; £2.50 child and £14.50 family.

Included in the Red House admission charge is the Enchanted Garden Activities Gallery with craft activities based on the theme of the Red House gardens.

A gallery has been transformed into a paper garden for children to colour, make and stick fantasy animals and flowers.

There are also floral fans and animal rocker greetings cards to make and take home.

The Enchanted Garden Activities Gallery is open daily Monday-Friday 11am-4pm and weekends noon-4pm until August 24.
