THE swinging sixties came roaring back this week during a retrospective celebration of the decade that gave us The Beatles, The Rolling Stones... and Cliff Richard.
The retrospective gave people a chance to swap photographs and look at memorabilia from the decade at Cleckheaton Library.
One visitor took in an old Panther motorcycle helmet, which evoked nostalgic memories of the former Spen manufacturer Phelon and Moore.
Organiser John Yearsley, who is also a member of the 50+ group, composed a quiz based on 1960s trivia.
Library manager Kathryn Parry said: “We are planning to make this a regular Saturday afternoon event and have already set a date for the next one on March 10.
“The theme for this event will be looking back to the Titanic as this coincides with the 100 years anniversary.
“It will be led by John again and, as he had a relative who survived the tragedy, he will be talking about the tragedy and bringing along some items of interest.”
