Reporter Series Business Awards 2011. Enter here

COULD your business be a winner?

The fifth Reporter Series Business Awards will take place on October 27 this year in a black-tie event to celebrate local firms in the district and to reward those employees who deserve a pat on the back.

We want to showcase the best of enterprise in the area but we need your nominations.

The business awards are free to enter – all you have to do is fill out a straightforward form giving us some details about your business. You can enter your own business or nominate someone else’s. We feature as many businesses as possible in our papers – the Dewsbury Reporter, Mirfield Reporter, Spenborough Guardian and Batley and Birstall News.

We will also be letting all our readers know which businesses get shortlisted and will have full coverage of the winners.

All this can be fantastic publicity for your business.

We’re looking for businesses large and small, new and established – you could be a one-person company working from your back bedroom or employ hundreds.

The event is generously sponsored once again by Specsavers, and the awards will culminate in a black-tie ceremony hosted by Look North’s Clare Frisby and will be held at the Gomersal Park Hotel, Moor Lane.

The event begins with a reception sponsored by Kirklees Council and will be followed by a three course meal and the awards ceremony itself. All the details can be found on our websites.

You can fill out the nomination form online or download the form and post it to: Kate Wobschall, Deputy Editor, Reporter Series, 17, Wellington Road, Dewsbury, WF13 1HQ.

Any business in the North Kirklees area and parts of South Bradford, which includes Mirfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Birstall, Spenborough, Low Moor, Oakenshaw and Wyke, can enter as many categories as they like. The closing date is Thursday September 8 2011.

A panel of independent judges, chaired by Kirklees Council’s chief executive officer Adrian Lythgo, will choose the winners and will consider entries for additional categories if they feel it is appropriate.

Tickets for the awards dinner cost £45 each – contact Natalie Mitchell or Andrew Crabtree on 01422 260247.
