Robbers threaten man with knife

Two masked men burst into a house in Liversedge and threatened the owner with a knife.

The robbery took place in Huddersfield Road between 6am and 6.45am on Monday April 22.

The men got into the house through an insecure door and threatened the 42-year-old occupant with weapons including the knife.

Police say they then searched the property and fled with a man’s silver Brietling watch with a blue face, a Nokia mobile phone and a brown specialised front suspension mountain bike.

The victim was left shaken but unhurt by the incident.

Both offenders were wearing masks and one was of mixed race, in his 20s, 5ft 8ins tall and of a stocky/muscular build. He had a round face and cheeks and spoke with a Jamaican accent. He was wearing a light grey hoody and a lime green/yellow scarf over his face.

The second robber was 6ft tall, with an athletic build, wearing a green and yellow full face mask and a tight long sleeved green tracksuit top and blue jeans.

Officers believe the suspects took a taxi away from the scene after the incident and want like to speak to anyone who saw the men getting into a taxi or has information about the offence.
