Salma brings her business back home
After 12 years of success Salma Karolia has brought her academy back to the heart of Batley.
The Mayor of Kirklees Coun Paul Kane and Batley & Spen MP Jo Cox, joined her and staff to open Salma’s Hair and Beauty Academy.

Hide AdThe academy, part of the ‘SK Group of Companies’, offers 56 fully accredited fast-track courses from within the beauty industry as well as offering a range of NVQ courses.
Although titled ‘hair and beauty’ the academy also offers various different programs including catering, first aid, customer service and leadership skills.
SK Group of Companies founder and principal Salma Karolia said: “We’re delighted to bring our award-winning, internationally renowned headquarters to my hometown, Batley.
“It gives me great pleasure to bring the headquarters back to its birth town where it started as a small enterprise with me as a single therapist to now having a whole team of employees in various different departments travelling worldwide to deliver our exceptional training.”

Hide AdSalma’s Hair and Beauty Academy headquarters, at Textile Chambers on Hick Lane, is now much bigger with five training rooms, separate salons and a hair studio for the ever growing demand for training within the beauty industry.
There is also an on-site wholesale shop to make student learning from home much easier.
