Shocked staff demand answers after care home shut down
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) confirmed that tenants at Oxford Grange Care Home on Oxford Road were in the process of being relocated after “significant concerns” over the home were raised.
Staff at the home are understood to have been made redundant with just one week’s notice.

Hide AdDebbie Westhead, CQC’s deputy chief inspector of adult social care in the North said: “We have significant concerns regarding standards of care at Oxford Grange and the home’s ability to meet people’s needs. We are considering the need for further enforcement action and will report on any action we do take in due course.
“We’re working closely with the local authority, Kirklees Council, who are supporting the safe relocation of all residents to alternative, appropriate homes in the local area.”
