Sarah Waddington Solicitors is organising a number of events and initiatives to promote and support the rehabilitation charity, Deptherapy, which was formed to support and help members of the armed forces who have suffered life changing mental and physical challenges by providing support and rehabilitation part of which includes access to tailored scuba diving tuition. Many of those whom the charity have assisted have reported that the weightlessness that scuba diving provides allows them to be pain free, for many the first time since their injury.

Just this week, the firm has organised and sponsored five ex-servicemen, and their helpers, to take a scuba diving trip to Thailand where they will visit Bangkok and Koh Tao to spend time with Tim Lawrence at Davy Jones Locker scuba diving centre Koh Tao, but next year are aiming to double that number. The trip will also incorporate a trip to the Bridge over the River Kwai where they will lay a wreath in tribute to the 6,904 British serviceman who lost their lives building the death railway during the second world war.

Sarah Waddington and Perry Booth from Sarah Waddington Solicitors said: “This trip is to show our respect and Thanks for the sacrifices which have been made which the service personnel view as just being part of their job. Our servicemen and women do not receive the support they need and deserve when they come home and Sarah Waddington Solicitors want to give them something back”

The firm is also offering additional services, including legal support.

Deptherapy is now their corporate charity with a number of events planned from donations to gala dinners. If you would like to get involved contact [email protected].
