Strictly Come Dancing at the White Rose Centre

The White Rose Centre is giving Strictly-loving shoppers the chance to learn a step or two this Friday and Saturday, where professional ballroom dancers Rita Mackenzie and Eric Bulcock will be on hand to teach a range of ballroom and classical dance sequences, made famous by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Rita, who has danced with Strictly judge Len Goodman, and her partner Eric will be showcasing their talents from 11am – 2pm on the South Mall, outside Sainsbury’s. Shoppers in the centre will be able to learn classic dances including Quicksteps, Tangos and Foxtrots.

Catherine Briggs, marketing manager at The White Rose Centre, said: “The team and I are very excited to welcome Rita and Eric to the centre this Friday and Saturday to teach shoppers a selection of ballroom dances. Strictly Come Dancing has risen in popularity over the years with many people wanting to learn the steps danced by famous faces such as Mark Wright and Caroline Flack.

“So whether you’d like to learn a Quickstep for your wedding day or pick up a few tips to perfect your Paso Doble, Waltz on down and join the experts!”
